Cosby Gents scratch team champions

On Thursday 17 August our scratch team payed Kibworth in a match that was effectively the season final of the league. 
With wins from Coby Cartwright, Luke Burrows, James Gamble, John Fairbrother and halves from Liam Plant, Henry Walkinshaw the match was won 5 and 3; a tight match. 
Cosby finished the league season with 8 played, 6 wins, 2 losses 39 game points and 12 league points. Kibworth finished second with 10 points, 5 wins, 3 losses and 36.5 game points. 
Congratulations to all those that played for the scratch team during the season, well done! 
Since the league started in 1977, Cosby have won the league 21 times with Birstall coming second having won 11 times. Since 2000, Cosby have won 15 times, an amazing record and performance.
